I am very lucky to have such a great support system....Named James Barrett. He has been there to pick me up while I was kicked down. I have never felt so beat down in my life after all of these deaths. He has been there to hold me while I cry, and hold my hand and help me continue on.
Thank you James. You are truly a sweet man and I hope one day I can be there for you the way you have been there for me.

Saying goodbye to Pete was very hard for me. He would always bring light when he came to see me or called me on the phone. He was such an amazing man, so warm, so caring, so funny and loving. I will never forget what Pete brought to my life for the short amount of time I got to spend with him.

I was invited to the topping out ceremony for the CJC and I had the pleasure of photographing the Chief of Justice signing his name on the last piece of steel being placed. (I think it was the Chief of Justice....but if anyone knows who this is please tell me....I was just told he is SUPER important)

If you have seen the movie Despicable Me, then you know what I am talking about. It's so fluffy I could just die....this is my unicorn and I am so excited to get to play with the new program. My guess the new one will be out any day now....and then I will need the updated more fluffy unicorn called Photoshop CS6.

Tornado Whisperer

I pointed to some clouds and said "Tornado clouds" and then a few minutes later the radio was saying about funnel clouds in Commerce City....I could tell Tornado weather miles away.... Therefore I call myself the Tornado Whisperer at work now.

Actually I love the rain, mainly because I have lived in Colorado my whole life and we don't get rain very much. But when it does rain I LOVE jumping in the puddles....usually splashing the person walking with me, but hopefully they laugh due to my childish behavior. But if you can't put up with the rain you wont ever get to enjoy the "double" rainbows. :-)

There is nothing like some hot, freshly salted edemame for dinner after some volleyball.
The best memory I had with these things was when I took a friend, that will remain nameless to help protect Dave's ego.....oh oops sorry Dave. Anyways, I took him to sushi and I ordered some edemame for a little snack before the good stuff came. I grabbed one and so did Dave and he put the whole thing in his mouth and began to chew...I looked and him and asked "Have you had this before?" He shook his head "no" with this look of disgust on his face. I mean I couldn't blame him since the shells are pretty gross, but he did not let me know he needed a little demonstration on the great soy beans! It was a great laugh!

I had to make a diaper cake for a baby shower next weekend....and I don't know if the mother to be follows this blog, so I hope not, because this is a surprise for her. I bought sooooo many diapers I had enough to make two. I had some great help rolling diapers.

Volleyball is still a big part of my life and I was lucky enough to be able to play with James. He is a lacrosse player so for his first time out in a volleyball tournament he did really well. We made it to the 3rd round...which some of the really great teams didn't make it that far....so na na na na na :-)

My mother took all my old jerseys and volleyball t-shirts and make a memory quilt for me. I used to have it in my closet, but I never got to enjoy it so I decided to hang it up. Now I get to see this every day and get a quick reminder of the great times I had playing on these teams with these great girls and the friendships that it has created. I am truly thankful for all those memories.

She is always wanting love....I call her an attention whore, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Who wants a cat that you never see but you have to clean up after them and feed them, but you never get to enjoy their company? Lily is not that kind of cat, she follows me around and always wanting me to pet her, and when I don't she will use whatever is near her to make you pet her, weather its your shoulder or even your face, she will get love.

You cannot beat some Cheerios early in the morning...well unless its a sesame bagel loaded with cream cheese. But these little round things of "Fish Food" as my parents call them make me think back to my childhood.
Every morning my mother would come and wake me up and only give me one 5 minute snooze before she would turn the light on. I would get ready and come down to the morning table to have my bowl of Cheerios in this white bowl, that I still to this day use, and have breakfast with my mom. She would have her brown sugar pop tart and her coffee (if she didn't leave it in the microwave) and I would have my Cherrios. She would read the newspaper and I would "read" the comic section, but it was really looking at the pictures, as we sat at the table in the quiet morning before my sisters came screaming out of the bathroom before school.
I value these memories and whenever I have my bowl of Cherrios in the white bowl, I think of my mom and our morning quality time.

It was a great day to support Denver Dumb Friends League. Callaway was pulling us around wanting to check everything out, while we were having to pull Chloe around because she would rather lay down and relax int he shade.

A couple of my friends are on this Paleo diet, and all they can eat are these fresh, non chemical, organic, all protein foods blah blah blah. But when I tried these raw cashews I was surprised...they are amazing...and amazingly EXPENSIVE when I went to pick some up for a salad I was making. Thanks to my friend which we call CrossFit Dave we are all concerned about how we eat. Yes, we email him daily about what we can or cannot eat, but he always answers. I often wonder if he is so over answering free questions about this diet....
